OKAL BOARD

Okal board, also known as particle board, is an artificial wood produced from planted forest wood materials (eucalyptus wood, acacia wood, rubberwood, etc.) Okal board has high mechanical strength, large surface sizes, and various types. Its surface is covered with different types of decorative materials such as melamine, veneer, etc.

Okal boards are produced by milling wood into chips and mixing them with UF glue. This board is similar to the MDF board, its quality is poorer than the MDF board.

The board surface and edge coating technology meets many requirements in terms of shapes and sizes, including Okal board and MFC board. Okal board is highly popular in the market and is often covered with veneer, paint, or PU coating. With the MFC board, both sides are covered with a layer of melamine to create beauty, resist moisture, and prevent scratches.

Advantages

• Okal board is cheaper than MDF board or plywood, so it is easily found in local stores.
• Composed of wood chips, Okal board has quite high hardness and mechanical strength.
• Okal board has superb screw adhesion.
• Okal board surface is relatively flat, so it is easy to press decorative surfaces such as Melamine or Laminate on top.

Applications

• Okal board core is mainly coated with Melamine resin (MFC) to form a material used in the field of office furniture.
• Okal board is often coated on decorative surfaces for use in home and office furniture such as tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, etc.
• Okal board is also used to make concrete molds, partitions, construction boards, etc.
